The mission of The Development Office is to help donors find a meaningful way to support Jewish education and maximize their philathropic dollars.
The purpose of the
Development Office is to help Yavneh carry out its mission by acquiring
the funds needed to bridge the gap between what students and their
families pay for a Yavneh education and the actual cost of operating
the school. Student tuition and fees pay only 70 percent of the
cost of a quality day school education.
There are a number of ways to support Yavneh:
- Unrestricted gifts to the “Friends of
Yavneh” annual appeal
- Planned Gifts
- Gifts to the
Endowment Fund
- Special projects
- Yavneh’s Honor/Memorial fund cards
- Shop online through portals which provide
credit to Yavneh Day School
- Attend Yavneh Programs, events and dinners
Yavneh strives to meet its annual operating needs
and long term goals through an annual “Friends of Yavneh”
appeal. Our “Building for Excellence” appeal for capital
funds for capital improvements raised over $8.7 million. Our ongoing
“Campaign for Excellence” seeks funds to grow and strengthen
our endowment. We are sincerely grateful for the generous and loyal
support from the Board, parents
and grandparents (past and current), staff,
community, alumni and friends.
Yavneh, a cooperative partner of the Jewish Federation
of Cincinnati, is the beneficiary of an annual allocation from the
Federation. This grant helps to cover a large portion of our tuition
assistance program. Additionally, we are the recipient of numerous grants from family
foundations and corporations. We are grateful
to them for their generous support.
The unrestricted gifts to Yavneh’s
annual fund support programs, enhance education and services to
our students and faculty, and provide much-needed financial aid.
Gifts provide flexibility to respond to special opportunities and
meet unforeseen needs, such as capital expenditures for security
improvements.
Donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually
to our “Friends of Yavneh” are invited to join the President’s
Circle.
