The preschool program
offers early education to children 2 ½ to 4 years. Through
activities that challenge our children and at the same time allow
them to succeed at their own developmental levels, we provide opportunities
for satisfying their curiosity about their world, developing relationships
of trust and respect, using language to communicate effectively,
and reasoning and solving problems independently.
Yavneh’s preschool promotes:
- Recognition of letters and numbers in
preparation to begin formal education in kindergarten
- Introduction to Judaic studies and Hebrew
language
- Building positive Jewish identity through
holiday celebrations, including Kabalat Shabbat, Passover Seder,
Purim plays, Hanukkah festivities, and so on.

Special Activities:
Weekly special activities that are provided in both the 3 and 4
year-old programs include lessons with a Hebrew specialist 3 times
a week, guided physical education, music instruction and enrichment
once a week. Our preschoolers participate in a variety of field
trips throughout the year where parents are invited to participate.
The Museum Center, Cincinnati Zoo and the Schoolhouse Symphony come
to Yavneh with special programs for our students.
