Yavneh’s Lower
School teems with activity. Hallways are filled to overflowing with
student projects ranging from models of the Temple Mount to cell
mitosis, and each brightly decorated classroom door offers an irresistible
welcome. This is a place where children learn how to learn –
joyfully, and the learning is palpable.
Students enter the Lower School in Kindergarten,
where they learn to read and are introduced to computer technology.
- Our integrated curriculum is designed to address
all of the developmental areas: Intellectual, spiritual, emotional,
social, physical, and creative.
- To develop each child’s knowledge and
skill to his or her fullest potential, average class size is 15.
- The academic disciplines including language
arts, social studies, science and math are closely integrated
with Judaic studies in Hebrew language and literature, Bible,
Jewish ethics and traditions, Israel and prayer
- Art, music, drama and physical education enrich
the Lower School program
- The mitzvah program takes Yavneh students beyond
the classroom into the wider community and opens their eyes to
justice and compassion through a comprehensive and committed program
that includes working with the elderly, and aiding less fortunate
children and schools.
- Lower school students participate in a variety
of enriching field trips throughout the year.
